Chapter 8: Jealousy

Hello, and welcome back to our irregularly scheduled nonsense! In other news, I finally worked up enough effort to finish Tiger's Voyage , the third book in the series, and hoo boy do we ever have some stuff to look forward to.  It's bad, folks. Last time, Kelsey broke up with Li and kissed Ren.  Yes, I am also surprised that this is literally everything that happened.  Other than plot stuff, we confirmed that Ren threatens any male who dares to even speak to Kelsey with violence, and that Li is also a sociopathic freak who can be driven into a blind psychotic rage in the name of--well, not defending Kelsey's honor, but as a display of masculinity. God, these characters suck. Chapter Eight: Jealousy Oh boy!  Instead of doing anything related to the curse, we just have more boy problems!  I can't wait!!! For reference, we're about a quarter of the way through the book at the start of chapter eight.  Literally the only thing that's happened is Ren and

Chapter 7: Back to School

Welcome back to our irregularly scheduled nonsense!  Last time, Kelsey went on a couple more dates, and broke up with Jason after getting hit by a car. Uh, that's pretty much it. This chapter, Kelsey breaks up with Li. Uh, that's pretty much it. Chapter Seven: Back to School Kelsey wakes up sore the next morning after getting hit lightly by a car, so she pops some aspirin.  Aspirin!  It heals anything from minor bumps and bruises to severe brain damage!  What  can't  aspirin do? Kelsey heads downstairs and Ren is burning  making some pancakes.  Comedy? My frilly apron was tied around his waist.  It was quite a sight. Comedy?? He's making peanut butter and banana pancakes because lol men don't know how to cook, that's the woman's job, silly!  Kelsey says that he should try some chocolate chip pancakes sometime.  Then they eat pancakes.  Riveting! Ren notices a big bruise on Kelsey's arm, and she says it's from rescuing the old lady

Chapter 6: Choices

Welcome back!  Last time, Ren explained why he's back in Oregon, and Kelsey went on a date with Li. Yeah, that's about all that happened.  Really. The beginning of this book is so sloooooowwwwwwww Chapter Six: Choices And this chapter continues to be slow! We immediately cut back to Kelsey coming back inside after Kissing Li at the end of their date.  Ren is still inside her place, sprawled out on the couch as a tiger (because he's still only human for six hours a day). Tears came to my eyes.  I hadn't realized that I'd missed this part of him, my friend, so much.  I knelt down in front of the couch, threw my arms around his neck, and cried big alligator tears, letting them spill down my cheeks and into his soft white fur. Now, this is something interesting because it's wrong in two ways!  "Alligator tears" isn't a slang phrase--it's "crocodile tears."  And crocodile tears are  called  crocodile tears because crocodiles can
